Cougar Treed

Despite -30 degree temperatures this morning we headed out in search of a fresh cougar tracks and we found what appeared to be a pretty good set early in the morning. We waited until it warmed up a bit before kicking the dogs loose. The dogs treed the cat after a 5-mile run but it turned out to be a big female and not a tom so we shot some video and photos and called it a day. Kyle Southgate, our hunter host and houndsman, has some great dogs and no doubt we'll find a good tom in the next few days.
