We Scored a Cattrick

With nearly a foot of fresh snow this morning. getting around on the mountain logging roads was a real challenge but we managed to cut a good track and we let five dogs go on the track. The thigh deep snow made getting to them very difficult and when we finally got there, we were shocked to see not one but three cougars in three different trees. We're not sure where the dogs crossed pathes with the female and two yearling kittens but it led the dogs off the trail of the original track. One of the kittens was a big healthy tom but was a couple years away from being a candidate for Vanessa's bow. The old female cat was known well by Kyle and Justin and easily recognized by her bobbed tail. Thanks to Kyle, Justin, Dave and Barry for all the help and all the shoveling. We'll be at it again tomorrow.
